The recall affects the following Plant/Trim category products:

  • Source One Meds Muddy Waters, batch number 5726 1079 0361 6347
  • Nature's Wonder Mango Sunrise, batch number 30476
  • Potent Planet Blood Oath, batch number BO3221213H
  • Deep Root pHarm Jenny Kush, batch number JK230116H
  • Deep Roop pHarm Big Mac, batch number BMAC230116H

Aspergillus, a mold found indoors and outdoors, can cause serious illnesses when inhaled by people with weakened immune systems, underlying lung disease, or asthma. Infections caused by Aspergillus can result in a disease known as Aspergillosis, which can be difficult to treat in some cases. AZDHS officials discovered the potential contamination during a routine inspection of a marijuana testing laboratory. It was found that the equipment was misused, according to the manufacturer.

The establishments involved in the recall immediately removed the potentially impacted products.Consumers who purchased the affected products are advised to dispose of them and contact the establishment or dispensary where they purchased any questions. This is not the first recall of marijuana products in Arizona; previous recalls occurred in 2021 due to potential Salmonella or mold contamination, and in other parts of the US, such as California, recalls have also taken place.
