The initiative aims to promote consumer safety by outlining strict lab quality requirements, ensuring brands and consumers can trust their lab testing data.

The Trust In Testing Certification combines the most stringent quality standards from lab regulatory standards across all states with legalized cannabis.

This includes regular proficiency testing, advanced quality management systems, and internal employee ethics and training programs, among other requirements.

By continuously raising the bar, the Certification provides partner brands and consumers with the most accurate and reliable results.

In a report, Jeff Journey, CEO of SC Labs, explained that the Trust In Testing Certification enables brands to identify labs that meet the highest standards across states, allowing them to unify their protocols in choosing a testing partner.

The Certification also allows brands to display the Trust In Testing seal on their packaging, showing consumers their commitment to quality.

Michael Drozd, CEO of ACT Laboratories, emphasized that the Certification helps address concerns about testing result accuracy and protects cannabis brands from the negative consequences of poor-quality testing data.

As founding participants in the Trust In Testing Certification, SC Labs and ACT Laboratories invite cannabis brands to demonstrate their commitment to quality by using the Trust in Testing seal on products tested by a certified lab.

The seal provides a straightforward way for consumers to trust that products have passed all potency and contaminant testing requirements, similar to the "Certified Organic" seal found in the produce aisle.
