Portland, ME--Sweet Dirt, a leading cannabis company in Maine, has unveiled a new collection of cannabis-infused beverages in collaboration with Massachusetts-based The Drinkable Company. This new product line targets the Maine recreational cannabis market and brings a variety of THC-infused beverages to the state's cannabis enthusiasts.
According to a release, Sweet Dirt's beverage portfolio includes THC-infused seltzers and lemonades. The first products to reach the market will be a rapid-onset seltzers line, set to hit the shelves Memorial Day weekend in Sweet Dirt's adult-use stores in Portland, Waterville, Rockland, and Bridgton, along with other select cannabis retail stores statewide.
The release noted that Sweet Dirt's seltzers stand out thanks to a proprietary nano-emulsification technology that ensures immediate effect. With a balanced mix of natural fruit flavors, natural cane sugar, and a hint of carbonation combined with Sweet Dirt's premium cannabis, each 12-ounce seltzer delivers 5mg of micro-dosed THC with under 5 grams of sugar, thus offering a low-calorie indulgence. These seltzers are available in refreshing grapefruit and blackberry flavors at $5.00 per can or in mix-and-match 4-packs.
Sweet Dirt's THC-infused beverages and Tiger Tea beverages from The Drinkable Company will feature Sweet Dirt's high-grade cannabis organically grown on their nine-acre Southern Maine campus.
The release noted that the Drinkable Company's Chief Catalyst Officer, Mark Mahoney, praised the collaboration, stating that their combined experience and capabilities will offer consumers more choices while driving growth for both entities.
"Cannabis beverages are a small, but fast-growing category with some markets experiencing triple-digit year-over-year sales growth," said, as per the release, Amanda Abelmann, Senior Vice President of Operations at Sweet Dirt. "For consumers new to cannabis, seeking a faster-acting effect, or opting for an alternative to traditional alcoholic beverages, Sweet Dirt seltzers offer a low-calorie, 'no hangover', option – at a very affordable price point.
