Eliot, ME--Sweet Dirt, Maine’s vertically integrated cannabis business, declared its introduction of a new line of cannabis-infused beverages for the adult-use market in Maine. This venture, in conjunction with The Drinkable Company from Massachusetts, aims to bring a diverse collection of THC beverage items to the recreational cannabis users of Maine.

According to a Food Newswire release, the upcoming beverage line from Sweet Dirt promises to include THC-infused seltzers, lemonades, and more. Marking the inauguration of this line, the fast-acting seltzers will hit the shelves on Memorial Day weekend at Sweet Dirt’s selected adult-use stores and other cannabis retail outlets across the state.

The release noted that Sweet Dirt’s seltzers utilize an exclusive nano-emulsification technology for speedy delivery. Each 12-ounce seltzer, containing precisely micro-dosed 5mg of THC and fewer than 5 grams of sugar, positions itself as a low-calorie pleasure.

Sweet Dirt will retail and distribute beverages from The Drinkable Company's Tiger Tea line. Both beverage lines will be supplemented with Sweet Dirt’s organically grown, high-quality cannabis.

“The Drinkable Company’s brands and innovation continue to drive growth in cannabis beverages in New England,” said Mark Mahoney, Chief Catalyst Officer at The Drinkable Company, as per the release. “Combining our more than 35 years of beverage know-how with the manufacturing, distribution, and sales capabilities of Sweet Dirt will give our consumers more choices than ever before, while also delivering growth to both companies.”

“Cannabis beverages are a small, but fast-growing category with some markets experiencing triple-digit year-over-year sales growth,” noted Amanda Abelmann, Senior Vice President of Operations at Sweet Dirt, x per the release. “For consumers new to cannabis, seeking a faster-acting effect, or opting for an alternative to traditional alcoholic beverages, Sweet Dirt seltzers offer a low-calorie, ‘no hangover’, option – at a very affordable price point. We are excited to be partnering with The Drinkable Company to expand this important category.”
