New York, NY--Broome County's cannabis scene continues flourishing as another cannabis dispensary springs up. Located at 1308 Vestal Parkway East, the newcomer Sacred Bloom inaugurated its venture on July 7, with its inaugural sale slated for 4:20 p.m.

According to a news report, in recent weeks, Sacred Bloom becomes the second cannabis dispensary to set up shop in the county, joining Greenery Spot, which started operations last Thursday in Johnson City, and Breathe, the pioneer of legal cannabis in the Southern Tier, launched in February.

Broome County’s latest dispensary is among less than two dozen legal cannabis stores that have sprung up throughout the state. Let's delve into what makes Sacred Bloom unique in the county's cannabis marketplace.

Meet the Man Behind Sacred Bloom

The brainchild of Sacred Bloom, located at 1308 Vestal Parkway East, is Todd Hartman. Having a wealth of experience in the smoke shop business, Hartman embarked on his journey in the industry in 1998 following his participation in the CHAMPS trade show in Las Vegas. He later spearheaded several retail smoke shops in New York under the Exscape brand, including in the Ithaca Commons.

According to Hartman, his seasoned experience in the associated industry will steer Sacred Bloom to establish the first dispensary in Vestal successfully.

“Our mission is to provide a safe and inclusive space where individuals can explore and benefit from the myriad of cannabis products available,” said Hartman in the news report. “We will have a dedicated section of the store to an Educational Center where suppliers/farmers and customers can meet so as to help the community understand all of what cannabis has to offer, seed to sale.

Sacred Bloom: Hours of Operation

After the ceremonial opening at 4:20 p.m. this Friday, Sacred Bloom will operate seven days a week. The shop will open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Sacred Bloom, sprawled across 5,800 square feet, will carry a plethora of meticulously selected cannabis products. Their offerings will encompass premium flower, concentrates, edibles, topicals, among other items.

Hartman added that the company pledges to uphold "quality, transparency, and customer satisfaction", striving to offer "a personalized experience for each visitor, ensuring that their needs and preferences are addressed".

New York Cannabis Market

The cannabis market in New York is expected to grow rapidly in the coming years, as the state has legalized cannabis for medical purposes and is likely to legalize it for recreational use soon. According to a report by Grand View Research, the New York cannabis market size is projected to reach $7.07 billion by 2025, exhibiting a CAGR of 14.7% over the forecast period. The demand for cannabis is driven by its medical benefits, especially in treating chronic pain, mental disorders, and cancer. However, the market also faces challenges, such as a large illegal market, limited scope of medical applications, and banking restrictions for cannabis businesses.
