According to a release, Ayrloom, the cannabis division of Beak & Skiff apple orchards near Syracuse, has produced New York's first cannabis beverage under the same umbrella as their successful 1911 alcoholic drinks and CBD products. Mack Hueber, president of Gen V Labs & Ayrloom, believes the cannabis beverage category will continue to grow.

Ayrloom's drinks are made from the byproduct of local cannabis farmers, extracting valuable oil from low-grade flower waste. The oil undergoes a multi-step heating process, converting it into a consistent distillate that is more desirable as an ingredient. After testing for pesticides and other safety measures, the distillate creates Ayrloom's vape cartridges, balms, and beverages.

These cannabis beverages contain a balanced ratio of 5 mg THC and 5 mg CBD. They are designed to take effect faster than traditional cannabis ingestion methods. Hueber states that consumers can feel the effects within 15 to 20 minutes, making it a more discreet and controlled way of consuming low-dose, sessionable cannabis.

The release states that cannabis beverages can compete with alcoholic drinks, offering relaxation and enjoyment without hangovers. As the first of its kind in New York, Ayrloom's cannabis beverage is currently available at all dispensaries across the state, with plans to expand further as more dispensaries open.
