New York, NY--The streets of New Paltz have a fresh aroma with a twist. Instead of the usual produce stands, a cannabis-centric market has taken root.

Amidst a backdrop of tents in a parking lot behind the Village Hall, New Paltz is pioneering an innovative concept with its Cannabis Growers Market. The market runs every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, serving as an interim solution until a dedicated dispensary operates nearby.

With this first-of-its-kind endeavor in New York, other locations across the state might soon follow the trend, especially considering the buzz it's generating.

Personalized Customer Interaction at Forefront

According to a news report published in Record Online, the brainchild behind this project, Rick Weissman of High Falls Canna and High Falls Hemp, emphasized the market's advantage.

"This provides a chance for our customers to get to know us, and for us to get to know our customers," Weissman said, as er the report.

Contrary to traditional dispensary systems, where only the staff interacts directly with customers, this market offers a more personal touch.

Dispensary Delays Lead to Innovative Solutions

The anticipated proliferation of dispensaries hit a roadblock when a state Supreme Court justice temporarily held new cannabis dispensary licenses. As a result, an accumulation of cannabis products intended for public sale led the state to greenlight the New Paltz weekly sales initiative.

Visitors to the market can expect a diverse product range, including pre-rolled cigarettes, marijuana flowers, vape cartridges, edibles, beverages, and therapeutic topical ointments.

In the report, Kevin Brumley from High Falls Hemp also shared insights on the CBD offerings at the market. These range from sleep aids and stress relievers to products designed for inflammation, mobility, and pet anxiety relief.

Ensuring Smooth Operations

New Paltz Mayor, Tim Rogers, recognized in the report the logistical benefits of spreading the market across multiple days. He remarked on the market's efficient flow. "There's a good steady flow of visitors, but it's not too overwhelming," Rogers said, as per the report.

For those looking to visit, the Cannabis Growers Showcase in New Paltz is open from 4-8 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and from 1-8 p.m. on Saturdays.
